How we handle information

This is a starting policy for Signal Forge Solutions, a one-person practice operated by William Budwit. It describes current intent, not a law firm’s memo. It is not legal advice.

This website

This site is static files. There is no account, no login, and no form backend. The contact form opens your own email client with a draft to contact@signalforgesolutions.com. If you use that form, the message lives in your mailer until you send it. We do not collect it on the site.

We do not run marketing pixels or third-party analytics on this site. Hosting (for example Cloudflare Pages) may produce standard server or CDN logs — IP address, user agent, pages requested — as part of delivering the files. We do not use those logs to build a marketing profile.

Email and client work

If you write to us, we keep what we need to answer you and to do the work you asked for: names, email addresses, company names, interview notes, and the assessment report.

Client data is kept local when possible — on the operator’s machine, not in a shared cloud workspace. We do not store client files in Google Docs. We do not sell data. We do not rent, trade, or list-append your information for anyone else’s use.

We may use ordinary email to send and receive work. Email is not a sealed vault. Do not send secrets you cannot afford to transmit that way.

What we research

Assessment work uses what you tell us in the interview, plus legitimate public information about ordinary business tools. We match tools to your shop. We do not scrape your customers. We do not buy stolen data. A recommendation is professional judgment, not a paid product endorsement.

Retention

We keep working files for as long as they are useful to the engagement and a reasonable period after, then delete or archive them with the same local-first bias. If you want something deleted sooner, ask.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share client materials with marketers or data brokers. We would disclose information if required by law, or if needed to protect a person from serious harm — and we would rather never be in that position.

If we ever use a contractor or a tool that must see client data, we will say so before that happens. That is not how the practice runs today.

Your requests

Email contact@signalforgesolutions.com to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Say what you want done in plain language.

Children

This site and this service are for business operators. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

This policy will get more specific as the practice does. The posted version is the current one. Material changes will be dated at the top of this page.
